	October is designated the Month of the Holy Rosary. Our new rosary banner celebrates this cherished Catholic tradition. The circular design relates to the continuous nature of our journey through life as we too encounter joyous, enlightening, sorrowful and rewarding aspects which help shape our growing and lead us on to deeper insights, renewed strength and courage. The Joyful Mysteries — Green Section Patterned with circles or seeds planted in the Light of God, joyful in growth... Most loving God, you saw fit to send your Light into our midst as Jesus, in the form of our humanity, with the cooperation of Mary. Bless us with a like mind, open to your life within us, receptive to your invitation to become your continuing presence in our world. The Luminous Mysteries — Blue Section Patterned with wavy lines—the cleansing water of Baptism, clear, bright, luminous... Most caring God, you chose to reveal your Son and his mission at the time of his Baptism, bringing into our world Your continuing presence in Jesus. May we continue his work Of loving ministry to the poor and oppressed as we work in His Name. The Sorrowful Mysteries — Red Section Patterned with drops and waves Most compassionate God, be with us in our times of pain and confusion as we remember Jesus in his suffering, and follow the trail of painful steps to his death. Open our minds to the truth of his teaching which was the cause of his death. Open our hearts to the power of love and compassion to overcome even death. The Glorious Mysteries — Brown Section Patterned with flowers and earthy shapes Most creative God, let us remember that Jesus remains with each of us as the Christ, resurrected and now within each of us, as the Light of God which shines through us giving us life and power to bring his presence into all that we do. May we, who are of the earth, be faithful and fearless in our work of discipleship.
