             Blitz Build for 2007

Habitat for Humanity of Oakland is looking for volunteers for this year’s Blitz Build of houses for the Pontiac community that will take place from June 15 to June 30. We need St. John Fisher volunteers, ages 18 up, to work during that 2-week period on one of six houses that will be constructed in the two week period.

If you are interested in working as a construction volunteer, please follow the link provided below to sign up and register directly with Habitat of Oakland after May 16. If you do not have web access, please call Bill O’Connor who will be able to assist you. His phone number is 248.681.4288 or email kbo11@comcast.net.

Additional volunteers are needed to help provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday, June 23. Workers can be age 14 up for this event, whereas construction volunteers must be 18 or older. You can register to work on hospitality after mass May 19/20 through June 2/3.

Habitat Oakland is also looking for volunteers to work on Saturdays at their new re-sale store in Pontiac at 150 Osmun and Paddock. Habitat Restore Oakland County is an outlet for new and used building materials helping to raise money needed to build safe and affordable housing for low income families in our community. Visit www.habitatoakland.org or call 248.338.9148 for more information.
