Mission:
Give witness to the Gospel message of
Peace and Justice and to help the community of St. John Fisher Chapel to
grow into awareness and commitment to this Gospel message.
Objectives:
- Education: Educate ourselves
and facilitate the education of the community around
· the Catholic Social Teaching principles,
· current events regarding injustices and
· how the Catholic Social principles should apply in this context for
conscience formation
- Action and Advocacy: Engage
ourselves and the community in action and advocacy for public policy
and legislative changes, which will support the common good and
reflect the
Gospel values of Catholic Social Teaching.
- Witness: To continue by our
actions and lifestyle to be witness to the Gospel values of
solidarity with the poor and the value of justice in everything we do.
Statement of
Resource Needs (Time, Talent, Treasure):
Volunteers from Time & Talent survey,
monetary budget as requested, continued support from the leadership of
St. John Fisher.
Ministry with Community
Special Emphasis for 2004-2005:
To continue to promote the mandates of
Catholic Social Teaching through workshops and informational evenings as
was requested from the PPA survey results.
We usually meet at 8:00 a.m. on
the first Sunday of the month, September through June. Please check
the weekly bulletin.
