Mission:
Provide
health care support, information and services through volunteer
members who are affiliated to the health care field as trained
professionals.
Objectives:
- Identify health care needs
within the SJF community.
- Provide assistance and support
to community members in need of health care.
- Promote healthy lifestyle and
publicize health care information to the SJF community.
- Protect the privacy and
confidential nature of health care needs of parishioners within
the SJF community.
Statement of Resource Needs (Time, Talent, Treasure)
- Identification of potential
health care volunteers through the use of the Time & Talent
Survey.
- Hold quarterly meetings to
promote health care issues and determine the future direction of
the ministry.
- Maintain a small budget for
related expenses associated with assisting parishioners with
their health care needs.
- Maintain a current database of
ministry members and their related areas of expertise.
Ministry
with Community -Special Emphasis:
For 2004-2005, St. John Fisher
Chapel Community wants to pay special attention to the Parish
Pastoral Assembly Speak-Up Group recommendations. This will
include the summaries of each of the nine topics and the PPA
survey results, which was promulgated at Pentecost 2003.
The development of the Health
Ministry is a direct result of the input received from the PPA
2003 input requesting that SJF offer “inreach” services to its
own community members.
