It is that time of year again! We will be celebrating our high school graduates (public, private, and home-schooled) at the 2012 High School Graduation Mass on June 3 at 10 AM. Come celebrate your teen with us! Mass will be followed by a brunch for all seniors and their families. Letters have been mailed to all of our known seniors and are available at the links below. Summertime Reading
Start Up Meeting: Tuesday, June 12, 7PM, Activity Center

Several SJF members are beginning to read the book, No Ordinary Time, by Jan Phillips, (©2011, Livingkindness Foundation). Jan's book of prayers, spiritual growth, and soul-wisdom can inspire each of us to embody the Divine within and find our spiritual way in the 21st century.

However, this is no ordinary book group!  We are offering you an opportunity to share your insights and experience of this book without adding more meetings.  We will only have one meeting, June 12th, to introduce ourselves to one another, pass out some handouts, and explain our Internet blog for interacting with each other during the summer.  Each person reads the book on their own and at their summertime pace.  A final meeting will be planned in late August to conclude this event.  Are you interested?  You can buy the book at www.Amazon.com, at Barnes & Noble stores or www.barnesandnoble.com or directly from Jan Phillips at www.janphillips.com  RSVP with B.J. Schlachter at bjs-ams@prodigy.net

St. John Fisher Whole Community Project

We (Liturgical Preparation) began a project involving the WHOLE community. We posed a question to see what you have to say. This question is based on the Epiphany: Epiphany is a sudden realization, like the awareness that God came to us in human form through Jesus. Remember when you’ve suddenly had a new awareness of something or someone that may have always been in your life. How might this realization change the way you act and/or think today?
Read what some of you had to say.

The Center for Discipleship will offer systematic formation that is designed to assist people to:

  • Deepen their relationship with God.
  • Be discerning believers better formed in the faith of the Catholic Church so to examine and engage issues relevant to our daily lives and the world.
  • Have a better understanding of the Gospel message, the major components of our
Christian faith, and the social teachings of the Church.
  • Sharpen the skills needed to promote faith development and spiritual growth.
  • Realize and affirm their call to discipleship practice as well as study.

Plan now to participate in the many meetings, classes, and gatherings in the coming year.
Find everything in the Center For Discipleship Catalog and on the CFD Home Page.
